Indian para swimmer Niranjan Mukundam is 27 years old and hails from Bangalore, Karnataka. He has clubfoot and spina-bifida problems since childhood. He has had 30 surgeries so far. Doctors advised him to learn swimming and do leg stretching exercises. So he started swimming at the age of 8. So much practice and passion to do something has taken him to a very good position today. He is the first Indian swimmer to win more than 50 medals till date.
Niranjan participated in the 21st National Para Swimming Championship jointly organized by Narayan Seva Sansthan and Paralympic Committee of India. Several Divyangs accompanying him for three days astonished the nation and the world with their enthusiasm, zeal and astonishing performance. Niranjan was also rewarded amidst applause. He is very grateful to Narayan Seva Sansthan that he got such a wonderful platform that gave him an opportunity to showcase his talent in front of the whole world. Apart from this, he has also won several great awards like Junior World Champion, Tokyo Para Olympic Award, Asian Games Medal and many more. Narayan Seva is very happy to be associated with such a wonderful swimmer.
